Graduation Requirements

Graduation requirements in New Mexico are based on the year a student first enters 9th grade. Each student is assigned a cohort based on this entry year (e.g., students starting 9th grade in 2024-2025 belong to the Class of 2028 Cohort). These requirements remain fixed throughout high school and will not change, regardless of when a student graduates. Use the flow charts below to understand the specific requirements for each cohort and ensure you are on track to earn your Diploma of Excellence.
